The College was upgraded to C.T.E. (College for Teacher Education) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (M.H.R.D.) Government of India, New Delhi – a sponsored scheme in 1988. Under this scheme, Content-Based and Theme Based Orientation Courses for the Government In-Service Secondary School teachers are organized every year. Apart from the above program, the Research is also done by the college faculty members under the C.T.E scheme.
